Alkaline Water Systems in Whitinsville, MA
Most home alkaline water systems are a mineral cartridge added after reverse osmosis. The RO membrane strips out dissolved solids. The alkaline stage, usually a granular media of calcium and magnesium, raises pH to somewhere around 8 to 9.5 depending on contact time.
Bear Water Purification connects Whitinsville, MA homeowners with plumbers who add alkaline stages to existing RO systems or install complete 6 and 7 stage units with the stage built in. The plumber checks flow direction and fitting sizes, since many alkaline cartridges use 1/4 inch quick connects that are easy to fit backward.
Set your expectations honestly. pH reads highest on the first glass after water has sat in the cartridge and lower on long draws. The health claims around alkaline water are thin. Taste is the real reason to want it, and plenty of people prefer it to plain RO water, which can taste flat.
Electric ionizers are a different product with a different install, and they need an outlet.
